For senior one I was inspired by the word transcend. I created pillows that would be used for meditation. They are naturally dyed with turmeric on velvet. These pillows are meant for the floor. Inspired to bring inner peace and tranquility to the user. There is one circular traditional meditation pillow surrounded by two bigger pillows for comfort.

The next pillows were made in natural dye class. These were more focused on experimentation with the dyestuff and imagery it created. Stamping, rust dyeing, eco-bundling and disperse were the techniques used. To gain its color I used blackberries, Logwood, and rust on raw silk. Experimenting with nature was the inspiration for this piece. The pillows are meant to be used as décor.

Pumpkin Patch
This series of weavings is inspired by many peronsal trips to one of my favorite places, the Pumpkin Patch. This first sample represents my selection of best the pumpkin to carve for Halloween. The next weaving portrays the joy of going on a hay ride in fall weather. And the last piece represents my experience of actually carving the pumpkin.
