Flannery Pace Burt
BFA in Fibers from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Flannery Burt was born into a creative family and raised in the slow-paced town of Albany, Georgia. From photography to repurposing cotton mills into loft apartments, everyone in her family has an aesthetic outlook on life. She studied fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she could obsessively explore color, texture, materials and processes such as crochet, weaving and natural dyeing. Travel is a passionate influence on Flannery’s personal life as well as artistic practice. She spent a quarter in the South of France and interned with fashion designers in the Southeast. Flannery currently lives with her bulldog Aspen in Asheville, North Carolina. This mountain town is home to her experimentative studio work. Connecting to her surroundings while making forms that are influenced by memories Flannery creates work that she and viewers can respond to.
